Villages charge membership dues to cover operating costs for things like a PO Box, telephone service, a website, organization management software, membership in the national Village to Village Network, insurance, printing, postage, outreach, and a part-time Coordinator. Dues are also used to support community educational opportunities relative to our membership needs and requests.
Methow At Home strives to keep their membership dues and expenses as low as possible while also raising money to offer membership grants and/or reduced-cost memberships, and to offer special programs.
Almost half the population of the Methow Valley, some 2,700 of us, are 50 plus years old, and about 1,200 are over 62. A lot needs to be done to get started, build a volunteer base, sign up members, and coordinate with service providers.
