The last ski meetup was so much fun Carolyn is doing it again!
February 10th @ 12:00 PM
Skiing! Has it been a while?
Are you always finding reasons not to ski? How about dusting off those cross-country skis and joining others who haven’t been skiing lately, or would like company “just in case”? Join Carolyn Loren for a mellow, flat ski on Mazama’s flat loops. Skis can be rented nearby, coffee can be sipped afterwards.
You will need a ski pass for this event. Passes and ski rentals can be purchased at the Methow Valley Ski School & Rental - Click Here for Website
We’ll gather at 12:00 on the trail, directly across from the North Cascades Mountain Guides building by the cute Red Cabin. We will stay out on the trail as long as people are enjoying it, approximately 1 to 1.5 hours. Then head over to the Mazama store for a treat if interested.
TRANGO OPTION for those who want to learn how easy it is to ski by bus, join Carolyn on the bus from Twisp or Winthrop. Carolyn will board at 11:17 p.m. by the Winthrop Ball Field (opposite the new Winthrop Visitor Center) with skis, boots and poles, wearing snow boots that will be stored at Mazama. The bus can be loaded from other location, visit TRANGO website HERE to learn more. Cost is $1.00. The next returning bus leaves the Mazama Store at 3 p.m., another goes at 5 p.m.
